Great River White

Post by Kevin-G on Sat 8 Sep 2018 - 22:54

Hello GW folks,

I have been downloading a few courses per week for me to sample and enter into my spreadsheet.  I update it here every week or so.

One of the courses I downloaded and sampled was Great River White

I thought I would query you all on your thoughts this course.

The course itself has a great flyover function, high course detail, medium distance detail and high aiming map detail.  The FPS is also very good, no lag at all.

The Fairways have a truckload of BIG rolls and bumps: which is OK as there are VERY wide and afford a safe landing even if you miss the snap by days.

What has me stunned are the Greens.  They are precisely the same as the Fairways!  Huge rolls, slopes and screaming dots on methamphetamines.  I didn't count the examples of the 18 holes, but I am gonna guess that ehhh 15 (16?) of them are pretty much unplayable for anything other than 'fun-house mini golf'.  For *ME* at least.

I *THINK* this course has been used in PGLS Tournament play and I have not looked at PSLS to see if there are/were any comments on the course.  Have you shot a Tourney round there?

It is highly suspect that it isn't 'just me' think this way about the greens.  Dang, the course is really fun until you putt that is!

What are your thoughts regarding Great River White?  This will help me sanity test my spreadsheet input.

I found out this morning from two friend that they deleted it.  Do you have it?

What about Great River Red . . . same/same?

I am somewhat befuddled and thanks in advance for your reply's!

As it turns out, I had downloaded and sampled Great River Red.

My spreadsheet did not say anything about the Greens.

Perhaps I will re-sample that course tonight.

Hey, Curtis . . . wanna smack some spheroids?  I need to resample the Red course.  I have a link for you . . .
